Hi Kwei -
I've enjoyed both of your books - especially Children of the Streets. Your descriptions were pretty accurate, although I haven't been there since 2005. I suggested that the rest of the Rotary team read your book. I am leaving Feb 10-29, 2012 for Accra to do strategic planning with Street Girls Aid, an NGO working with pregnant teenage street girls in Accra since 1994. SAid works closely with Catholic Action for Street Children - have you heard of SAid? Our goal is to improve their funding options, and will have the Rotary Clubs in Accra as partners. Our last project was a $46,000 grant to provide furnishings and equipment for their vocational training and House of Refuge.

I am delighted you live in Pasadena - about 90 minutes from Ojai! Maybe you can speak at our Rotary Club sometime - we meet on Fridays at noon.

Best wishes,
Kay Bliss, LCSW

Dear Kwei,
I have been trying to get a message to you via email but I have not been successful! I think I have the incorrect email. I hope this gets to you.
Your books do not stay on the shelf here in Kumasi, Ghana! They are wonderful and read by many of our SSS and JHS students. Thanks for sharing your literary gift.
We have put our first Newsletter and I would like to email to you. How can I do this?
Blessings to you as you continue your good works. ---Sister Laurene Brady, BVM

Thank you for humanizing the people and situations in today's Ghana. I've read your first two books and look forward to the third.

I just finished reading Wife of the Gods which I enjoyed immensely. After working for several months in Ghana many years ago I have always been hungry for works which capture the rich color and culture of the place where I realized that cross cultural work would be my life. And it was! I am so delighted that Wife is not the only work and now will hunt down the other books Dr. Qyartey has written. I can hardly wait to read them. Thank you for these gifts.
